Veterinary Technician Assistant
Job Role
- Our veterinary assistants are essential team members. Not only do they play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary technicians and veterinarians, they also provide assistance to our client service representatives. Their work days are never the same – they may spend the morning assisting with appointments and hospital patients and fill the role of client concierge in the afternoon. This job is perfect for those who have no (or limited) veterinary technician experience and are hoping to build their current skillset.
Essentials
- Support the care team with appointments, diagnostics, and procedures
- Support the CSR team by providing assistance to clients (answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing questions or concerns)
- Handle and restrain animals during procedures
- Keep the treatment areas and exam rooms tidy and clean
- Assist with basic patient care (feeding, giving medications)
