Pet Dentistry in Celina, TX
Most pets begin showing signs of mild dental disease (plaque and tartar accumulation) around 3 years of age. Additionally, older pets are often stoic and hide the effects of dental disease. We have seen many cases where a pet’s attitude dramatically changes after finding and removing diseased teeth. Part of our comprehensive wellness exam includes an evaluation of your pet’s teeth and gums. We can then start to formulate a dental plan for your pet for both at home care and when it’s time to schedule their next cleaning. Routine scaling/polishing not only leads to better overall health (both oral and systemic) but can prevent your pet from undergoing multiple extractions due to dental disease or abscessed teeth as they get older. All our comprehensive dental cleanings (scaling and polishing of teeth and extractions/oral surgery when indicated) are performed under general anesthesia.
